Treating Bursitis, Tendinitis & Other Soft Tissue Pain

Soft tissue rheumatic syndromes affect the structures around joints and typically cause pain, swelling, and inflammation. Commonly affected joints are shoulders, elbows, wrists, chest, fingers, hips, knees, ankles and feet. Because the soft tissues around the joints are inflamed, soft tissue rheumatic syndromes are sometimes mistaken for arthritis. Bursitis, Tendinitis and other soft tissue pain is sometimes the result of play or work activity that overuse or injure the joint area (Tennis elbow, Golf elbow, Planter Fasciitis, etc.), but may involve other conditions such as gout, psoriasis, thyroid disease or even an infection. The experience of the staff at AOA will properly diagnose and manage the pain and inflammation to prevent disability and minimize recurrence.
