Sjogren's Syndrome Treatment

Sjogren’s Syndrome is a common autoimmune disorder of the glands. It typically affects the tear glands of the eyes causing dry eyes and the salivary glands of the mouth causing dry mouth. The symptoms may be so severe as to affect eating or feel like sand in the eye. Other symptoms include genital dryness, dry skin, constipation, joint pain and rash. Although there is no known cure, with treatment we can relieve the symptoms of Sjogren’s Syndrome and greatly improve our patient’s comfort.
