Hisham S. El-Kadi, MD, FACP, FACR
Dr. Hisham S. El-Kadi is an award winning physician and researcher and is a highly respected educator in the field of Rheumatology. Born and educated in Alexandria, Egypt, Dr. El-Kadi graduated from Alexandria University Medical School and trained at its medical centers before coming to the United States to dedicate his work to the study and treatment of rheumatologic disorders.
Dr. El-Kadi trained and performed research in Rheumatology at Seton Hall University’s affiliated hospitals, Saint Michael’s Medical Center and Saint Joseph’s Medical Center; he was an instructor before becoming an Assistant Professor on the University’s faculty. Dr. El-Kadi founded Arthritis and Osteoporosis Associates over two decades ago. In addition to being the founder, chairman and medical director at Arthritis and Osteoporosis Associates, Dr. El-Kadi is presently the senior attending Rheumatologist at CentraState Medical Center, an affiliate of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center and is a:

Dr. El-Kadi has won the American Medical Association’s Physician Recognition Award every year since 1997 and has produced award-winning/published clinical research in Rheumatology.

James Fischkoff,

Dr. James Fischkoff
Dr. James Fischkoff was raised in New Jersey, and comes from a family of doctors. He studied biology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and returned to New Jersey to attend medical school at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center. He completed his residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and University Medical Center at Princeton. Dr. Fischkoff did his fellowship training in Rheumatology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He has been involved in major pharmaceutical trials as well as academic research in clinical and basic science fields. Dr. Fischkoff welcomes his patients with an interest in their overall wellbeing. He brings his experience, warmth and a humanistic approach to healthcare to the patients here at the Arthritis and Osteoporosis Associates.
Dr. Fischkoff is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

Sylwia Sasinowska,

Dr. Sylwia Sasinowska
Dr. Sylwia Sasinowska was born in Poland and moved to the United States as a child. Dr. Sasinowska studied Biology, Slavic Languages and Literature at Rutgers University where she graduated with honors. She obtained her Medical Degree from Ross University and completed her Internal Medical Residency at Seton Hall University affiliated programs. Dr. Sasinowska completed her Rheumatology Fellowship at Cooper University where she was also involved in quality improvement projects, case reports, clinical research and various publications. In addition, she has co-authored a medical book. Dr. Sasinowska welcomes her patients with a caring and warm attentiveness.

Dr. Amanda Scott
Dr. Amanda Scott was born and raised in Trinidad, West Indies. She obtained her Medical Degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Overlook Medical Center, in affiliation with the Ichan School of Medicine, at Mount Sinai in Summit, NJ. Dr. Scott later went on to complete her Rheumatology Fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA – there, she participated in various quality improvement projects, case series and oral presentations. Prior to joining Arthritis and Osteoporosis Associates, Dr. Scott was a Staff Rheumatologist at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ME. Dr. Scott welcomes her patients with empathy and compassion. Her attention to detail, and warm personality, allow her to provide exceptional Rheumatologic care with an emphasis on improvement in quality of life.

Nicole Zacour, attained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with close to a perfect GPA (3.97) from Gannon University in Pennsylvania and completed her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Nursing with a GPA of 3.926. Nicole was the recipient of Gannon University’s Academic Award for Excellence in Nursing, and Ranked #1 in Summa Cum Laude. Throughout her nursing education she was on the Dean’s list – Fall 2003, Spring 2004, Fall 2004, Spring 2005, Fall 2005, and Spring 2006. Nicole’s experience spans Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner positions and several nursing positions including Intensive Care Units and Home Health Assessments.

Kimberly A. Polito, PA-C received her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition from the University of Delaware in 1997, graduating with honors. After working as a Registered Dietitian for 4 years, she returned to school in 2002, attending the Physician Assistant program at UMDNJ. She graduated UMDNJ with her Masters of Science in 2005 and has been working as a Physician Assistant since. She has experience in various fields of medicine including rheumatology, pain management, urology, GI and internal medicine. She is an energetic, compassionate individual who enjoys caring for patients in order to improve their wellbeing and quality of life.

Brandon Hom
Brandon Hom, PA-C is a board certified physician assistant who joined AOA in 2020. He graduated with honors from The College of New Jersey in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He attended Rutgers University (formerly UMDNJ) Physician Assistant Program and graduated with a Master of Science in 2015. In addition to rheumatology, Brandon has experience as a physician assistant in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, and physiatry (physical medicine and rehabilitation).
